Silver Paws Program (Seniors for Seniors):
If you are a Senior Citizen (55 years and over) adoption fees may be completely waived for select shelter animals.
Seniors adopting Seniors (The Silver Paws Program) is an animal adoption program of Finger Lakes SPCA (Bath Shelter). This service provides free adoption packages (which includes spaying/neutering, initial vaccines and deworming, a dose of flea preventive (leukemia and FIV testing for cats) first year's dog license, and more) to senior citizens who are at least 55 years old, are compatible with and willing to adopt a select shelter orphan. These dogs or cats could be seniors themselves or could be animals who have simply been looking for a home for a long time.
